Utica, New York

Another JAM tournament, another end to the hockey season. This year, it was in Whitesboro or Whitestown or whatever they call that place. There is only one other locale I can think of I despise more than going to Whiteswhatever, and that would be Camillus (with Geneva coming in a close second). We left Friday morning, driving directly to the rink for our first game against Ithaca. Mike was the backup for this game, and the Sens won 4-1.
We went to Babe's afterwards to grab a late lunch, and then checked in to the Hampton Inn on Genessee Street where we would stay for the next couple of nights. Friday evening was our second game, this time against the home Whiteswhatever NotSureWhatTheirNameIsAndDontCare. Mike played this game, and our team hung with them until somewhere around the mid-point in the second period when the wheels fell off. Final score was 5-3, with the fifth goal being an empty netter. Back to the hotel after the game, Mike opted to not have dinner Friday night, so Jill and I went to Delmonico's on our own.
Saturday brought games three and four for us, the first against Auburn which ended up being a 1-0 loss for the Jr Sens (Mike was backup for this game); the second against Elmira which was a 4-2 loss for the Jr Sens (Mike was in net for this one). In between games, we went to Piggy Pat's in New Hartford for lunch. At night, we were going to go with the team members that remained to Delmonico's for dinner, but Gary Pucedo dissed us so we opted to go to '99' instead. What a way to end a season, eh?
Sunday morning, before heading back to Binghamton, Jill found a nice little diner called 'Top O The Mornin' so we headed there for breakfast. Had a great Irish omlet, complete with corned beef hash! Back to Binghamton after breakfast.
