This was a bus trip sponsored by the Binghamton University Athletic Club to the SEFCU Arena on the campus of the University of Albany. Two games were scheduled for the day, both Binghamton versus Albany, men's and women's. We were given a bag lunch on the way up, and there were more snacks to be had along the way. They also showed a movie on the way up. All in all, a good job was done by the BU staff to make this an enjoyable trip.
The SEFCU Arena is nothing more than a gym with a large seating area (4,538 seats). Maybe it's because we're used to the BU Events Center, or the fact that this was the first away America East game we had been to, but we weren't impressed with the facility.
The women were able to pull out the win over Albany, but the men weren't as lucky. There was one looney guy that came on the trip with us that made a fool of himself jeering at the U of A fansWe had a bit of a hairy bus ride home as well. A snow had begun to fall on the trip back, and the bus driver was white knuckling it most of the way home since the highway.
