Always up for a trip to the 'City of Brotherly Shove', I tagged along with Jill while she went to a meeting at Ingenix in Philly. I walked around 'downtown' Philadelphia, wandering through Reading Terminal Market and into Chinatown (okay, I was being a whacker and looking for the fire station - found it too!). I met up with Jill after her meeting and we moved the car closer to the Reading Terminal Market. We grabbed some mac and cheese from Delilah's (very good - but not as good as Jill's!) for a snack. Afterwards, we trekked to North Philadelphia in search of the ORIGINAL Chickie's and Pete's, which we easily found with the help of the Garmin. This was the fourth different Chickie's and Pete's location that we had been to, which means there are only three more for us to hit! (One actual restaurant, one at the Philly airport, and the stand at Citizens Bank Park). We got crab fries as an appetizer, Jill had the hot shrimp, and I had the Magooby - YUM! A few pints of Miller Lite to wash it all down completed the meal. Finishing up at Chickie's and Pete's, we made yet another 'traditional' Philly stop on our way through by hitting the IKEA in Conshohocken - always worth the trip for us! Headed back to Bingo-town after this.
