Orlando, Florida

Tuesday, December 7, 2004 - Friday, December 10, 2004

Believe it or not, this was actually a vacation for us! We flew US Airways on this trip, and had a HORRIBLE experience with them - to the extent that we may never fly them again! Our first flight was cancelled, so we were bumped to the next flight. That put us in Philadelphia late however, so they had to change our flight there too (trying to make up for it, they put us in first class). Got to Orlando and headed to the Magic Kingdom for 'Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party'. Very cool and lots of fun! It actually snowed on Main Street! (well, it was bubbles, but it looked like it snowed!). We had cookies and hot chocolate, and rode a bunch of the rides (including Pirates of the Carribean - our fav in the Magic Kingdom). We spent the next few days touring around Disney - hitting all of the parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and MGM Studios) as well as Downtown Disney. Went to a comedy show, the Travelers Club (very funny - much like an interactive comedy show), and a couple of the dance clubs. We stayed at the Cypress Palms Resort in Kissimmee. Nice enough room, great price. Came back on US Airways, and had more trouble. Got into Philadelphia and found that our flight to Binghamton had been cancelled, and the next flight wasn't for another six hours. Decided to rent a vehicle (nice SUV) and drove to Binghamton from Philly.

Trip Notes:

For this trip we stayed at Fairfield Orlando at Cypress Palms, 5300 Fairfield Lake Drive, Kissimmee, 34746. Total charge for the three nights was $200.01.
