Oneonta, New York

We were looking for something to do on a quiet Sunday night, so we found ourselves in Oneonta for our first game at Damaschke Field in 2009. It was a pretty good game by the home team, with the starting pitcher for the Tigers throwing a no hitter through 5 1/3. A couple of 'blemishes' on our otherwise quiet and relaxing night - the beer sales that were suppossed to have started this season in Oneonta hadn't yet since the state liquor board still hasn't issued a permit, and a jewish summer camp decided to invade Damaschke Field - loud and obnoxious!

We left the game around the sixth inning and went to the Italian Kitchen on Church Street for dinner. Jill had an arrabiata and I had chicken saltimboca, both very good! The catch here - loud and obnoxious 'Dreams Park' families had found this little gem as well; didn't make for a quiet relaxing dinner that's for sure. Home after the game (little run in with the State Police on the way home, but got out of a ticket).
