New York, New York

Monday, February 1, 2010 - Tuesday, February 2, 2010

A few medical appointments kept us in the New York City area for a couple of days in early February. On Monday morning we drove from Binghamton to Harrison, parking in our usual spot, and taking the usual mass transit from there to the Hospital for Special Surgery. We met with Dr Shetty for the first time, and she ordered a few tests and such which we did part of that day. After meeting with her, we took the same mass transit(s) back to the car.

We stayed in Newark again for this trip - at the Robert Treat Best Western Hotel. Good rates, good location, decent room. For dinner on Monday night, Jill found a really good restaurant right across the river in Harrison - the Spanish Pavillion. She had read about it online, and it got rave reviews! That, and it had sangria on the menu - woot!

Tuesday brought with it more tests (an MRI and EKG and EEG for Jill) at HSS. In between the MRI and EEG, we went to Cilantro at 1st Ave and E 71st for lunch. Again, good food and they had sangria on the menu! Two for two! We finished up her tests in the afternoon, and then headed back to Binghamton arriving home around 8:00.

Trip Notes:

We stayed in room 816 at the Robert Treat Hotel; our room rate was $58.65, for a total of $66.86 for the night.
