Las Vegas, Nevada
Wednesday, February 10, 2016 - Saturday, February 13, 2016
So this was kinda a crazy trip (for Tim). Jill was in Vegas at the beginning of the week to teach a class; on Tuesday night of the week, Marty Brodeur's jersey was retired by the New Jersey Devils. So, Tim - on Tuesday - drove from Binghamton to Syracuse to get Mike, onto Newark for the game; after the game, drove Mike back to Syracuse and then waited for his flight to Las Vegas. Oye! It should be mentioned that during his layover at JFK, Tim was able to get a traditional Irish breakfast at the Tigin Irish Pub.
On Wednesday night, Jill and I crossed another sporting venue off of 'the list' by going to a UNLV men's basketball game at the Thomas and Mack Center. The Rebels played the Spartans from San Jose State. On Thursday evening, we went to Giada's at the Cromwell and had an awesome dinner with an equally awesome view! Friday's lunch was El Dorado Cantina, with a trip to Downtown Las Vegas in the evening, capped off with dinner at Lola's - A Louisiana Kitchen. Made the trek back across the country on Saturday (with a stop to see Mike and dinner at the Dinosaur BBQ when we got back to Syracuse).
