Flushing, New York

Saturday, September 13, 2014 - Sunday, September 14, 2014

Weekend trip to Queens, N-Y-C to run the inaugural Queens Half Marathon. With the Mets home as well, we figured we'd just make a couple of days of it! Down on Saturday, arriving at the SpringHill Suites New York LaGuardia Airport. We walked from the hotel to CitiField. The Mets did rather poorly, the weather wasn't the greatest, so we headed back to the room earlier than we usually would (our usual is the seventh inning stretch). Good run on Sunday morning - two loops of the park, around the globe and spaceships. Back to the hotel after the run; showered and then Jill found us a great place for some lunch before we headed home!! Tortilleria Nixtamal had been featured on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives (Guy has never steered us wrong) so we decided to try it out. Awesome and authentic, a definite keeper for us! Home after a great lunch.

Trip Notes:

We stayed at the SpringHill Suites New York LaGuardia Airport, 112-15 Northern Boulevard, Corona, New York 11368.

We stayed in Room #710.
