Cruise 2014

Saturday, June 28, 2014 - Sunday, July 6, 2014

So, Mike was off to 'camp' at Syracuse University for a couple of weeks and Jill and I figured it would be a good time to take a little vacation just the two of us. It had been a while since we went on a cruise, so, we headed to the Caribbean aboard the Enchantment of the Seas! Was kind of extra special for me since this was the first cruise ship I had ever sailed on.

The trip technically started out on Saturday when we took Mike to 'Cuse and got him set in his dorm. Had lunch at Funk 'n Waffles before heading east to Albany. Had dinner at Bucca di Beppo over there and stayed the night at the Red Roof Inn. On Sunday morning we flew from Albany to Orlando. Of course, no trip to Florida would be complete without a stop at Disney!! Had 'lunch' at La Cava del Tequilla in Mexico at Epcot and toured around our favorite park a bit. Monday morning was sail away day from Port Canaveral. On Friday and Saturday after docking we returned to Disney, finding an incredibly crowded park on July 4th (we resorted to visiting the Hall of Presidents!), and had lunch at Via Napoli on Saturday. Back home to the grind on Sunday.

Trip Notes:

We stayed at the Red Roof Inn Albany Airport, 188 Wolf Road, Albany, NY, 12205. Total for the stay was $103.16.

We flew Southwest flight 3775 ALB-->MCO; departed ALB at 650AM, arrived MCO at 940AM.

We flew Southwest flight 225 MCO-->ALB; departed MCO at 235PM, arrived ALB at 520PM.

Cost for both round trip flights was $596.00.
